The social programs will provide participants with an opportunity to relax after meetings, to experience the glamour of Korea, and to network with friends and acquaintances. A series of social functions will be organized for the SpaceOps 2016 on 15th - 20th, May, 2016.

Welcome Register Reception (17:30~19:30, May 15, 2016 / Lobby, 1F)

The Welcome Register Reception will be held for all participants before the conference starts day. It will be an excellent opportunity to catch up with old colleagues and make new friends while enjoying some Korean Traditional Tea and Snacks. Come and join this entertaining ice-breaker to expand professional networks and form partnerships.

Opening Ceremony and Highlight Talks
(09:00~11:00, May 16, 2016 / Grand Ballroom, 2F)

All registered participants are cordially invited to join and celebrate the official opening of the SpaceOps 2016. The ceremony will be held during 09:00~11:00, May 16, 2016 in Grand Ballroom. As part of the celebrations, there will be a highlight lecture and speech about the KARI’s Space’s Program Introduction and with the theme of ‘Result from the Rosetta / Philae Mission. Please join us and celebrating this conference.

Welcome Reception

All participations and accompanying persons are cordially invited to attend the welcome reception. We believe it will be good time to relax and warm up for the conference. Drinks and a light dinner will be served. A traditional Korean Performance will be awaiting you at the Reception Part II (19:00~). Please come and give them your applause.

Awards Dinner
(19:00~21:00, May 19 / Place: Cheongnamdae Presidential Villa)

Awards Dinner is a key networking event in the conference. You will have unforgettable impression and memory through this Dinner. Also, you can enjoy the special performance full of wit and laughter. This will be a great opportunity to relax with wonderful entertainment while also giving us the time to know each other better. This event promises to be an unforgettable evening in SpaceOps 2016, Korea!

  • The Cheongnamdae (청남대) is a presidential vacation villa located near Daecheong Dam (대청댐) near Daejeon City. The construction of Cheongnamdae started in June, 1983 and was completed in six months (December). Cheongnamdae, built on a 560,000 pyeong-wide area, means ‘Cheongwadae in a warm southern land’ in Korean. South Korean presidents would stay in this remote vacation villa 4-5 times (or sometimes 7-8 times) a year during summer vacation or national holidays. In total, Korean presidents have stayed here nearly 400 days over 88 visits in two decades.
  • Cheongnamdae, which had been closed to the public for twenty years, was finally opened to the public on April 18, 2003 by former president Roh Moo-hyun. Visitors can view a music fountain inside the ecological wetland garden (990㎡), hike a 3.3km mountain trail and visit the Hoban Promenade (8km), or simply take a pleasant walk along a beautiful trail, and enjoy the scenic landscape of Daecheongho Lake.

Closing Ceremony (10:30~12:30, May 20, 2016 / Grand Ballroom, 2F)

A closing ceremony will be held to celebrate the success of the conference and to cherish the memories from the SpaceOps 2016. Following the closing keynote address, it will be announced the next SpaceOps by the host city of the 15th SpaceOps’s committee. We invite you to celebrate the success of the 14th SpaceOps during 5 days and say goodbye to Korea and to thank the many people who made this exciting event happen!
